Our commitments
Accounts are verified against member schools.
Accounts belong to schools, not to individuals.
Student personal data is never published on Riza.
What this means in practice
Every account belongs to a school, not to a person. Registration is reviewed by us before a school appears in the directory. Each school's account is operated by the student sustainability representatives and staff leads the school authorises, and every coordinator at the school acts under its name.
Initiatives are published in the school's name. Where individual students led the work, describe the work and the role of students in general terms — never with names, year groups small enough to identify an individual, contact details or identifiable photographs.
What schools must not submit
Student names, initials, email addresses or handles; identifiable photographs or video of students; medical, behavioural or attainment information about individuals; or any file or link containing the above.
Account holders are responsible for checking submissions against their own school's safeguarding and image-consent policies before publishing.
If something is published in error
A coordinator can edit or delete their school's initiatives immediately. If you find content anywhere on Riza that appears to contain a child's personal data or raises a safeguarding concern, contact us and we will remove it while we review.
Reporting a concern
Write to network@riza.org with the page or school concerned. Riza is not an emergency service: if a child is at immediate risk, contact your local child protection authority or emergency services first, and follow your school's safeguarding procedures.
This document is a working draft prepared for the Riza network and should be reviewed by a qualified legal or safeguarding professional before launch.
